Knowledge Beneath The Mists, the Sea First Encountered
One scout unit had gone a long time without sending back any news.
And so what followed was Lord Ryan's army, iron hooves thundering as they trampled the forest soil and brutally destroyed everything they saw along the way.
"Humans, the war is already over. This is forest land!"
His palm pressed against the hilt of his sword, the Knight Retainer stared at the forest ahead from beneath his visor.
"One of our scout units disappeared in the forest."
"Your people disappearing has nothing to do with the forest. This place does not belong to you."
The longsword left its sheath in an instant, and the retainer fixed his gaze on these elves.
"We follow Lord Ryan's will and have come to search for the missing soldiers. Clear the road, elves."
"Without Her Majesty the queen's order, you have no right to enter the forest."
"How convenient. Lord Ryan's matter of thawing the frozen river was discussed with your queen long ago, and your queen did not refuse."
"Our scouts would never have strayed far from the frozen river. They could only have met with trouble on the river."
"Clear the road, elves, or you will start a war again."
The war had only just ended, and both humans and elves were showing restraint, but in the end, the elves were still the more restrained side. Humanity's Extraordinary Legion had already suppressed much of their human nature and was eager for slaughter.
Hearing the retainer's words, the elves hesitated as well, and the longbows in their hands never rose.
"Do not leave the land that does not belong to you, humans."
Rumble!
The cavalry rode away. Staring at their backs, the elf gave a cold snort and vanished into the dense woods.
