The secret of the hourglass did not lie in itself, but in the sand within it that flowed away like time. At that moment, above the Blazing Sun Altar, Ryan saw golden quicksand rising and falling, descending from the sky through a narrow opening and forming an hourglass-like golden barrier over the Blazing Sun Altar.
A few Demons had originally been able to break in from the sky, but now they could only strike helplessly against the barrier.
Ryan could no longer see Archbishop Cameron inside. The golden quicksand came from this world's Faith Essence. As it grew denser, the Blazing Sun's reaction became increasingly intense.
A group of clergy stood around the altar.
This was the terrifying thing about religion spreading faith. Archbishop Cameron had come here alone, yet in fewer than three days of preaching, he had gained dozens of followers. Cameron granted them clerical status, allowing them to participate in this ritual.
Besides them, there were also some Dawn Followers. Ryan had never intended to forgo his share of the benefits. After being angry for half a day, Cameron could only silently acquiesce and allow these Dawn Followers to endure the searing power of Faith Essence.
"Hayes's side has stopped supplying Faith Essence. How much longer will this side need?"
Ryan's voice reached the inside of the altar. A moment later, Cameron directly threw out his scepter.
"Send it to the Church of Light. Tell them I need more Light Faith Potions. I need the Blood of Light."
Ryan did not know what the Blood of Light was, but he moved quickly. He even directly opened the Northlands' only spatial passage and sent Archbishop Cameron's scepter to the Imperial Capital. Aside from consuming resources worth thirty thousand Gold Coins, the entire process took only half an hour.
