The burning army arrived on the dim battlefield. As a member of the Columbus family, Cameron nevertheless showed little respect for the emperor. "I come on behalf of the Blazing Sun, Your Majesty."

His condition was unusual. He seemed to stand above mortals but below a Seraph, human yet not quite human.

Floyd took a moment to accept that the Cameron before him was no longer a member of the Columbus Royal Family. Adjusting his attitude, he asked:

"Commander of the Burning Legion, how do you intend to help the Empire end this war?"

Cameron answered firmly and without hesitation.

"Defeat that mountain!"

His gaze passed over the darkened land to the pure white Holy Mountain. Behind the emperor, several grand dukes and high nobles exchanged glances without speaking.

Floyd's expression was grim as well, but he kept his emotions in check and asked:

"That is no easy task. The Church of Dawn has many reserves to draw upon."

"The Blazing Sun's light flame will purify all mortal resistance. No power can match the intensity of the Blazing Sun."

"That is not how things work, Your Excellency."

At last, Grand Duke Fleming stepped forward and said:

"Unless the Blazing Sun comes in person, you will still need to demonstrate tangible strength to guarantee victory."

Mortals could still look directly at Cameron, which meant he did not wield the Blazing Sun's authority. He was not the manifestation of a great being. Empty boasts were therefore useless.

"The Burning Legion has a hundred thousand soldiers. The Blazing Sun's radiance blooms within them, and eternal, undying flames will set every enemy ablaze," Cameron said after some thought.

"That is not enough. We have already committed over a million soldiers to this war, yet we have made no further progress." Cameron fell silent, then
