The skull capable of summoning the Son of Hrimr was thrown into the sea, where the deep ocean swallowed it. Kraken chewed on it as the authority of knowledge analyzed the essence within. The process was not slow.
The enormous tentacle pressing down on The Mainland from the depths of the sea wriggled continuously as Kraken analyzed it. In just a few minutes, countless cracks appeared across its surface.
It split apart into hundreds of chunks of flesh. The massive chunks grew even more tentacles, taking on an exceptionally nauseating appearance as they crawled over the ground like octopuses and tore into the other "octopuses."
They devoured one another, flesh and blood flying everywhere. Every fallen piece of flesh seemed to possess its own consciousness, growing tentacles and crawling off to join the feast.
However much flesh was divided, that many independently conscious "tentacled octopuses" were born. In Ryan's eyes, this bloody biting feast was more entertaining than the grand war on the other side.
Because they possessed souls.
"Kraken's power is entirely different from those great existences."
The feast did not last long. As the big fish ate the little fish, an enormous monster with countless tentacles and a jellyfish-like form eventually floated into the air.
It could fly hundreds of meters above the ground. More importantly, its aura was far more substantial than those Specters. It was a true Legendary retainer. "Nakt!"
The compass aboard the Crow Ship spun, letting out a dull sound. It seemed to be calling, or perhaps speaking. It spoke the name of the jellyfish floating in the sky—or perhaps the name of this newly born flesh-and-blood race.
"This is a true Legend. Kraken tore off a little of its own flesh, wrapped it around traces of divine authority, and created such a Legend."
