Mikaela gradually realized that this state was related to the soul, but it probably had not actually drawn his soul out. He did not think that, as a knight, his soul was particularly strong.

The other knights who had also taken on Spirit Form discovered this as well. The revelation stunned them, but the shards of ice falling from their bodies soon made them realize they were not invincible.
Even a glancing touch of True Ice's power could still damage their Spirit Forms.

At least they no longer had to watch helplessly while sealed inside blocks of ice. They picked up their swords from the ground and felt nothing unusual. The knights turned their eyes back toward the Snow Demons that had appeared.
