Battle of the Skyreach (Nine)

Beneath a sky of splendor and gloom, a vast shadow glided overhead. Count Clayton's Legendary dragon swept past, its powerful, razor-sharp claws tearing massive stone pillars from the mountain-sized Divine Revelation Giant.

The Divine Revelation Giant swung both fists, bound with masses of grotesque Divine Revelation Warlocks, at the dragon. The blow knocked Flame Dragon Christman's head sideways, sending a torrent of blazing dragonfire down at a forty-five-degree angle. The army of believers racing across the ground was instantly reduced to ash.

BOOM!

Iron-shod hooves thundered over the earth. The surging force of the charge scattered the smoke left by the dragon's breath, and Flame Dragon Knights burst through it, bathed in fire. Their eyes burned with fervor as they drove forward, forward, ever forward. In that instant, thousands upon thousands of extraordinary cavalry became the fiercest spectacle on the battlefield—

Warhorses slammed headfirst into the Dawn Guards. Both sides wore heavy armor engraved with extraordinary runes; hundreds of pounds of weight struck with thousands of pounds of force at full charge. Horse met horse head-on, and in a single instant, Flame Dragon Knights and Dawn Guards alike went tumbling.

The fallen knights on both sides struggled to keep their balance and get back to their feet.

One Dawn Guard had barely raised his head after falling from his horse when a shadow filled his vision. A towering Imperial warhorse whinnied, fire spilling from its mouth. It reared high, then brought both forehooves crashing down.

The horse trampled the Dawn Guard beneath its hooves. The Flame Dragon Knight on its back thrust his Knight's Greatsword through the guard's vulnerable chest, killing the fallen enemy before holy light could erupt.
