The captured assassins confessed without hesitation that they had acted on Baron Ryan's orders. With the target precisely identified, the nobles were filled with righteous indignation and fiercely condemned the Baron of the Northlands.

Yet at roughly the same time, another group of assassins was captured—legitimate Shadow Vanguards. At last, they confessed.

Though it was less a confession than them shouting the glory of the Lord of Dawn and the Divine Favor of the God of Light before their deaths.

"Impersonating the Black Swan."

Compared to Meyers framing Ryan, pinning everything on the Black Swan was clearly far more likely to succeed.

Ryan fiercely condemned the Legendary investigation team.

"You spent so much time and effort, yet you can't even compare to a few of Meyers's insignificant knight investigators. You couldn't uncover who was behind this after half a month, while Meyers found out in less than a day."

"Are Legends even Legends anymore? Is His Majesty the Emperor's investigation team really this useless?"
