A god had actually descended upon the Rhino Orc tribe.
Snow and wind drifted through the sky, while the earth stretched endlessly white. Within this scene, the dark-hued Werewolves confronted the Rhino Orcs. Between heaven and earth, majestic divine radiance connected the deep land and boundless sky like a storm.
Shatterbone stepped out of the radiance of divine power and channelled the overflowing Divine Essence into the Elephant Orcs following him. Then, he shared a little with the distant Savi, leaving the latter trembling with excitement.
In this age when gods no longer answered the Orcs, such divine favor was the greatest political legitimacy.
The Orcs had no concept of political legitimacy, but their primitive, savage kind revered the will of the gods even more.
"Legendary! He's become Legendary!"
Savi stared at Shatterbone in shock. After sacrifice after sacrifice, that weak little fellow had actually become as strong as him. More importantly, he had become Legendary through the favor of a god.
This was no easy matter. Legendary beings required a Legendary Boon. If a god wished to create one, it had to divide off part of its authority and turn it into a source akin to a Legendary Boon.
In short, a Legendary being created by a god was, to a certain extent, the god's embodiment in the mortal world—the incarnation of its will.
Shatterbone looked down at the battlefield where the Rhino Orcs and Werewolves faced each other and roared loudly, "In the name of the gods' will, I declare that Shatterbone shall lead the Orcs to defeat the humans of the South, seize the South's warm lands, and grant the Orcs a new nation!"
"The Orcs shall have endless food in the South!"
They did not quite understand the first sentence, but they understood the second perfectly.
