In her search, there was nothing left in all of Miklagard that could buy her freedom even once.

Furious at her own incompetence, the woman grabbed a sailor beside her and gave him a beating.

"No, there must be some other power."

Liv said this because she firmly believed the world could not possibly be so weak. There had to be some powerful force she had yet to discover that could deal with that Crow Ship; her senses simply could not find it.

Just like those Witch Crows. Those ancient wizards had lived until the present day, yet Liv knew very little about them. She only knew that the masters of every island were extremely powerful.

The pirate ship turned and sailed toward the distant sea. Miklagard was vast. Unlike other worlds, it was not covered in wind and snow; the ocean occupied nearly one hundred percent of its territory. The waters where she had fought Ryan were only a tiny part of it.

"Captain, do you remember that place?"

The sailor whom Liv had beaten in her rage spoke up. The reason he had been beaten was actually because he had handed over one extra Gold Coin when they had paid for their lives.

He spoke cautiously now in hopes of redeeming himself. He knew full well that his captain, who valued time and money above all else, might use him as fish bait next time over this matter.
