The earth split open, and Abyss Demons poured into the human world.

These grotesque monsters were not like the Cultists of the Abyss Church. They did not understand subtlety. They only knew how to charge recklessly onto this land, greedily devouring the vitality of the world—especially the humans who screamed in terror at the sight of them.

One noble territory after another suffered disaster. The lucky ones could hide within castles and towns. The unlucky ones could only become Demon food, their souls not spared either.

Amid such calamity, faith in the Deities became more devout. Prayers begging great beings for salvation became the words on everyone's lips.

Perhaps the prayers of the believers had worked. A Dragon's roar sounded in the sky, and its spread wings cast a vast shadow across the earth.

Count Clayton stood atop the Dragon's head, looking down at the land shrouded in black currents and the noble castle surrounded by a Demon army.

Roar—

The Dragon opened its bloody maw and unleashed scorching dragon breath. It descended from the heavens, setting every Demon in its path ablaze. Those hideous Abyss monsters howled and wailed in the flames before turning to ash.

Under a great will, they finally saw their enemy in the sky: the perfect form of a Dragon, standing at the peak of the food chain.

Yet the Dragon's might could not crush the courage of these Demons. Their souls had been woven by a great being. Once the Dragon revealed its hostility, the flying Demons surrounded it from all directions.

Their enemy was not Count Clayton, nor was it the rather playful Dragon beneath his feet.

The sound of horns reached the Demon army first, followed by a sky-darkening rain of arrows. Arrows soaked in potions pierced the Demons in the air.
