Silver longswords gave off a hazy sword aura, and the Elven Guard, shrouded within it, gulped for breath. Their battle allowed not the slightest slackening; even extraordinary power could not hold out forever.
All around them were densely packed Dragon Race warriors, while the corpses underfoot had piled up along the perimeter. Those obstacles bought the Elven Guard time to breathe. What deserved to be sung of was their will to fight. Even now, every Elven Guard still maintained soaring battle spirit. There was no retreat, no fear, only thought for the battle to come.
However, what they had encountered were Dragon Race warriors who had no fear of death at all. Beneath their pitch-black scales were cruel gazes, devouring the soldiers of the Elven Guard bit by bit.
"Take them down!"
Ryan's voice came from the rear, and more Dragon Race warriors appeared within the encirclement. The Dragon Tooth Blades in their hands rose in crisscrossing arcs, and then that black torrent of war surged toward the lone silver boat.
It was at that very moment that dazzling light erupted from the enormous vines growing a thousand meters in the sky.
The vines coiled like giant serpents, weaving together into a platform that rose above the forest. Fruit grew atop that platform, and as the fruit burst open, the war creations sent by the Elven Royal Court also appeared in Ryan's eyes. They were...
"World Crossbows?"
Ryan was surprised. He was no stranger to them. Back at Unicorn Fortress, there had been World Crossbows. They were weapons of war on par with Magic Crystal Cannons, unique to the elves. He had coveted them desperately, but no matter what, he had never been able to purchase those enormous magical crossbow bolts.
He had not even been able to imitate them.
