Alistair could not make use of that achievement. Since he claimed to have killed Slate, he would inevitably implicate the Sun Sect. Implicating the Blazing Sun meant touching upon the majesty of the dead Monarch, something Monarch City could not tolerate.
Thus, Adrian, this "evidence," became someone Alistair hated to the bone. The gap between a Court Baron and an Augustus prince was simply too vast.
