Eating Ramen with Denki Kaminari

"Can you not do that?" Yang Xiao gave a wry smile. "We're all classmates, don't resort to violence so easily. We're not enemies."

"Anyone who deceives me is my enemy," Katsuki Bakugo said, not continuing his attack but staring at Yang Xiao. "Don't let me face you next time!"

"Let's go, it won't happen," Yang Xiao breathed a sigh of relief and ran off directly this time.

He shouldn't run into Katsuki Bakugo again, unless it was during the Sports Festival, but the Sports Festival was still a long way off, so he had no reason to worry.

Beyond the school gate was a long slope. Looking down from the slope, they could see the city buildings below, houses packed closely together. Further ahead, the endless sea stretched out, a view with a unique charm.

However, despite the sea appearing close from their vantage point, it was still some distance away.

It didn't take long to get from the Problem Solver to the seaside. Yang Xiao had gone for runs by the sea a few times. The smell of the seawater mixed with the gentle breeze was incredibly refreshing.

"We're here, this is the ramen shop," Yang Xiao said, pointing to the large sign in front of them.

"Fat Bro's Ramen?" Denki Kaminari repeated, reading the name.

"Looks like you haven't been here before. Let's go in." Yang Xiao opened the door and walked in. The stout owner was making ramen and looked up as Yang Xiao entered. He greeted him warmly, "It's been a while."

"Yeah, I've been busy lately, but I brought a friend today," Yang Xiao said with a chuckle.

Denki Kaminari walked in at that moment, and the stout owner immediately smiled and said, "Welcome, welcome! Have a seat inside."

Yang Xiao didn't stand on ceremony. He led Denki Kaminari to a corner seat, handed him a menu, and said, "Order whatever you like. It's my treat today."

"Hahaha, Yang Xiao, you really are rich!" Denki Kaminari exclaimed excitedly. However, he wasn't the type to freeload. "I'll treat you next time."

"It's fine, I'm just doing some part-time work recently. I wouldn't say I'm rich," Yang Xiao waved his hand. Although he was working part-time, his salary was much higher than that of a typical office worker, especially after joining the core of the Problem Solver.

"Yang Xiao, you're working part-time?" Denki Kaminari said, taking off the headphones around his neck. "Most high school students don't have part-time jobs, as this is the age for studying. University students are more likely to work part-time."

"I just want to make my life better," Yang Xiao said no more, pointing to the menu. "Order your noodles quickly."

Denki Kaminari nodded and began to look at the menu, but he was still thinking about Yang Xiao's part-time job. Yang Xiao's clothes didn't look expensive, but he was generous with his spending. Denki Kaminari wondered if Yang Xiao's family was wealthy.

However, Denki Kaminari ultimately didn't ask about Yang Xiao's family. Although they were friends now, they weren't close enough to discuss such personal matters.

"Boss, one Pork Bone Kimchi Ramen and one Beef Brisket Spicy Wing Ramen!" Yang Xiao said, holding up the menu. "Oh, and a glass of Soju for me."

"Huh?" Denki Kaminari looked at Yang Xiao with some surprise. "Are you serious? We're too young to drink."

"It's fine to have one glass. Don't tell me you've never had Soju before?" Yang Xiao gave him a look of disdain. Denki Kaminari immediately retorted, "Of course I have, but only at home. I've never had it outside."

Moreover, Denki Kaminari found it strange why someone would want to drink alcohol with ramen.

Yang Xiao just smiled and picked up his chopsticks to start eating his ramen. It seemed he could only drink with Gin-san at the Problem Solver.

"This ramen is really good..." Denki Kaminari said happily after a few bites. As someone born and raised in the Island Nation, he had eaten countless bowls of ramen, but most of them no longer excited his palate. The main reason was that the ramen in the Island Nation lacked variety; they were all pretty much the same.

But this ramen was different. He had never eaten at this shop before. Just by the name, 'Fat Bro's Ramen,' he knew he wouldn't have gone in if he'd passed by, as it seemed too ordinary.

So, he had to taste it himself to know if it was truly delicious. To his surprise, Fat Bro's Ramen was indeed delicious, unlike most ramen shops in the Island Nation.

After they finished their ramen, Yang Xiao specifically told Denki Kaminari that the drinks were complimentary from the boss because it was their first visit. He mentioned that there wouldn't be such a discount next time.

"Boss, I'll be a regular customer from now on!" Denki Kaminari chuckled and thanked the stout boss.

However, some of the ramen at this shop was a bit pricey. For a student like Denki Kaminari, coming here once a week would be considered good. He couldn't afford to eat here too often.

After the meal, Denki Kaminari went home, and Yang Xiao took a leisurely walk to the Problem Solver to report for duty. The work at the Problem Solver had been quite busy recently, and he needed to put in more effort.
