As the largest S.H.I.E.L.D. branch in the world outside the Washington headquarters, the S.H.I.E.L.D. New York Division had everyone wishing they could sprout wings and grow a few extra arms.
The black, one-eyed man wearing an eyepatch entered a control room resembling a war room. As the current commander of the New York Division, he immediately spotted one of his most capable agents. "Barbara, have we found Doctor Octopus?"
Dressed in an office skirt suit, Barbara Morse stepped before the Black commander who had promoted her.
"Nick Fury, we lost track of Doctor Otto Octavius after the bank robbery. Our people are searching at full capacity. I also sent Hawkeye out to inspect the scene."
"Didn't the Department of Homeland Security develop a surveillance program? Can't we use it?"
"Regarding that, both the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI have expressed their dissatisfaction with us. They do not believe a United Nations organization has law enforcement authority within the United States, so they are unwilling to grant us access to the surveillance system."
"Ignore those bastards. S.H.I.E.L.D. handles this kind of supernatural and advanced technological affair. If we leave it to them, do they have any way of dealing with it?
