Volume Finale

Taking tomorrow off to organize the detailed outline for the final volume. I need to think carefully about how to wrap it up.

If there are any unresolved regrets or plot holes I have not filled in, report them all. This book has far too many words, and I do not want to go back and reread it either. The workload is too much—I am afraid I will read until I puke.

I originally thought I would only write two or three million words, but I accidentally wrote far more than that. Looking back now, some of the plotlines were a bit padded. I will pay more attention in the next book.

If you want to call me a shameless padding machine, go ahead. I deserve it...

After all, I am still a newcomer. I will pay attention and improve in the next book.

Once I finish this book, I probably will not want to read any Pokémon novels for years. Just writing this four-million-word epic has made me sick of it. The next book will be a different genre.

It will most likely still be fanfiction. I cannot write original fiction yet. I need to correct the writing experience and bad habits from this book, distill them in the next one, put them into practice, and see what other problems remain. If there are problems, I will fix them; if not, I will keep learning!

If I am not prepared, I probably will not start an original work. Switching from fanfiction to original fiction is a life-or-death hurdle. Many veterans go quiet the moment they make the switch.

Those veterans are clearly amazing at writing fanfiction and get great results, yet the moment they switch to original fiction, they flop. They flop the moment they switch, like a curse.
