Yu Hai arranged for Blaine’s Rhydon to teach Hana Hana six moves, bribing it with a Heat Rock before sending Hana Hana along with it. Meanwhile, Xiao Shun and Hao Er arrived at Cinnabar Gym, found Blaine absent, and decided to visit Saffron City instead of Viridian City after learning it was Team Rocket’s territory.

• Yu Hai chose six moves for Hana Hana to learn from Blaine’s Rhydon, including Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Giga Impact, and Megahorn.
• Yu Hai gave Blaine’s Rhydon a Heat Rock to persuade it to teach Hana Hana, then gave Hana Hana another Heat Rock when it demanded one.
