At an upscale barbecue restaurant in Tokyo City, the Fudomine Middle School tennis club, fresh off their Regional Tournament victory, was holding a celebratory dinner.
Kamio, Ishida, and the others looked at the expensive cuts of meat listed on the menu and could not help swallowing. Looking at Tachibana Kippei across from them, they asked, "Captain, can we really order things this expensive?"
"Yeah. Are you sure you brought enough money? We don't want to end up staying behind to wash dishes."
Before Tachibana Kippei could answer, however, a young woman with waist-length black hair and an exceptionally slender figure suddenly pushed open the restaurant's sliding door. She wore a straw hat, a mask, and sunglasses. "Everyone, eat as much as you want. I've booked out the whole place today.
"Since you're all underage, I can't let you drink alcohol, but I'll cover every other expense!"
Although she wore a sunhat, sunglasses, and a mask, Kamio, Shinji, and the others could tell from her voice and figure alone that she was a stunning beauty.
While the Fudomine members were wondering who she was and why she was treating them, An happily walked over, took her arm, and asked affectionately, "Sister Miyaka, why are you here?
"If someone recognizes you, won't it cause quite a commotion? And didn't you say you had a lot of work today?"
"It's fine, An. I put on a bit of a disguise before coming here.
"And you won the Regional Tournament this time, right? I heard my adorable little brother performed brilliantly as well. How could I possibly miss such an important occasion?
"As for work and appearances, I just turned them all down. Our family isn't short of money anyway."
Hearing such outrageously lavish and irresponsible words, An could only cover her face with one hand.
When she saw that all the Fudomine members were looking at them curiously, An turned to Miyaka beside her. "Sister Miyaka, is it okay?"
Wenren Miyaka did not answer An's question. Instead, she generously removed her sunhat, sunglasses, and mask. Under everyone's astonished gazes, she introduced herself. "Nice to meet you, students of Fudomine Middle School.
"My name is Wenren Miyaka. That's right—after hearing my surname, you've probably already guessed.
"My younger brother, Wenren Seiya, has quite a mischievous personality. Thank you all for looking after him so well. Miyaka offers you her gratitude."
Though Wenren Miyaka came from a prominent family, she had none of a young lady's arrogance, nor any of the airs one might expect from a superstar. She greeted everyone with easy grace.
After a brief daze, the Fudomine Middle School members finally came to their senses and cried out in shock.
"Wenren Miyaka! That superstar!"
"No way! Wenren Miyaka is Seiya's sister? I always thought it was just a coincidence that they had the same surname."
The Fudomine tennis club members had known that Seiya came from a well-off family, but they had never dreamed that Wenren Miyaka, practically a national idol, was actually Seiya's biological older sister!
Seeing the Fudomine members practically losing their minds, Seiya immediately prepared to flee this scene of public humiliation.
Yet he had barely risen from his seat when the scent of gardenias enveloped him. The next second, he was pulled into the arms of a national idol with long, straight black hair.
Patting Seiya on the head as though soothing a child, she said, "Our Seiya is amazing! Those tennis coaches the family hired before were complete trash.
"Hmph! They actually said our Seiya had no talent for tennis. Mom was right to throw them all out. After a while, your sister will find you some excellent foreign coaches."
As a Transmigrator, Seiya's mental age naturally exceeded that of the middle schooler he appeared to be.
Being treated like a child by a girl around twenty was incredibly embarrassing to him.
And it had only happened at home before. Now, under everyone's watchful eyes, Seiya wanted to disappear even more!
He was Fudomine Middle School's ace now. He had only just shown off big time today, and now his sister was doing this. Would he even have the face to report to the tennis club tomorrow?
Yet Wenren Miyaka did not think there was anything wrong with her behavior. It was only natural for an older sister to dote on her younger brother.
Her brother had achieved good results, so it was normal for her to praise him. She even thought Seiya's flushed face was simply because her adorable little brother was shy.
Originally, Tachibana Kippei had only planned to treat everyone to ramen for the celebration, but after Wenren Miyaka learned about it, she directly called An and had her bring everyone to this upscale barbecue restaurant.
And as a superstar who was never short on money, she lavishly booked out the entire place to celebrate her brother's victory with his classmates.
Everyone had a wonderful time at the celebration, after all. It was not every day that they could eat unlimited high-end barbecue.
Besides eating, many of them also asked Wenren Miyaka for her autograph.
Looking at the noble yet generous, elegant yet beautiful Wenren Miyaka, Kamio even felt as if he had fallen in love again...
Of course, while the Fudomine members enjoyed the celebration immensely, Seiya suffered through the entire meal.
His sister was clearly the center of attention, yet she still insisted on feeding him. Under the pressure of their bloodline, he could not really resist, and could only suffer public humiliation again and again beneath everyone's gazes.
By the end of the meal, Seiya was exhausted both physically and mentally. Meanwhile, Wenren Miyaka was still watching footage of Seiya's matches with great interest, and even asked An for it.
"Captain, I want to ask for three days off... no, a week! As for the reason, I think you understand."
After the celebration ended, Seiya immediately intended to ask Tachibana Kippei for a week off outside the barbecue restaurant.
He figured that after a week, those guys would probably, perhaps, maybe have forgotten about this.
In any case, he had only just suffered such public humiliation today. There was no way he could immediately return to tennis club practice and endure everyone's strange looks.
"No. Although I sympathize with you, as the tennis club captain, I can't approve your leave.
"The Metropolitan Tournament will begin soon. You should know perfectly well that luck was a major reason why Fudomine managed to defeat Seigaku in the Regional Tournament."
Both Seiya and Tachibana Kippei understood this very clearly. Fudomine's current strength was still inferior to Seigaku's.
If they had not used an unexpected strategy, and if Seigaku's second doubles pair had not been Momoshiro and Kaidou, then Fudomine might have been the ones to lose this time.
