Just as Super Flame was torn apart, Seiya, in his Agumon form, Sprinted straight before Cyberdramon and locked claws with it in a contest of strength!
In terms of size, Agumon's body was considerably larger than Cyberdramon's.
But physique did not necessarily equal strength. Veins bulged across Seiya's thick, muscular arms, yet he still could not overpower Cyberdramon.
What he did not know was that Ryou Akiyama was even more shocked by the sight before him.
His Cyberdramon might have a savage temperament, but its strength was unquestionably real.
After traveling the Digital World for so long, they had defeated countless powerful enemies. Yet now, Cyberdramon was being suppressed in a battle of strength by a mere Champion Digimon!
"Card Slash—Power Trainer!"
Compared to the first and second Digimon series, the greatest difference with the DigiDestined in Digimon Tamers was that their Digimon did not merely fight alone while they stood by as spectators.
Known as Tamers, they could use their Digivices to perform Card Slashes, granting their partner Digimon all kinds of boosts to their skills and attributes.
As Ryou Akiyama performed the Card Slash, golden particles of light immediately flowed into Cyberdramon's body.
Under the effects of the "Power Trainer" card, Cyberdramon's strength increased dramatically.
It then exerted its strength and began pushing back against Seiya's Agumon, which had previously been evenly matched with it.
But just as Cyberdramon roared and prepared to completely overwhelm Seiya with brute force, Seiya opened his mouth again and blasted it in the face at point-blank range with another Super Flame.
The scorching heat burned Cyberdramon's armored body, drawing a pained groan from it.
Before it could fly into a rage, however, Seiya spun around and lashed out with his tail, sending it flying more than ten meters away!
