Ding-ding-ding... When the sound of the Rattle Bell rang out, customers began streaming into the bakery one after another. Several employees started taking out the freshly baked bread, and it was quickly snapped up.
The little girl from the Mandos Family was only ten years old this year, but she was much shorter than her peers. She had arrived early to buy bread from this bakery, but when the doors opened, she had failed to make it inside amid the crush of the huge-bodied ladies.
She sat gloomily outside the bakery window... These ladies were really too crazy!
The main reason was that Mr. Bai Zhi, the bakery owner and baker, was far too handsome... According to what her father, Mr. Mandos, had said, Mr. Bai Zhi was practically the enemy of every man in town.
"You didn't get any bread again today?"
Just as she was fretting over how to explain things when she got home, a pleasant voice sounded beside the little girl from the Mandos Family... She raised her head and saw a black-haired young man with heterochromatic eyes, dressed in a baker's uniform.
"Mr. Bai Zhi!" the child from the Mandos Family cried out at once.
The young man... Mr. Bai Zhi, however, gestured for her to lower her voice, then stuffed a brown paper bag containing bread into the little girl's hands. "This was just baked, too. Take it."
"Thank you, Mr. Bai Zhi!" The little girl from the Mandos Family hugged the brown paper bag happily, then curiously studied the bakery owner's eyes.
They were always so beautiful, no matter how many times she looked at them, as if they were jewels.
One brown eye and one blue eye.
Her mother had said that these were his natural eye colors, but
