The police station's archives looked as though a typhoon had swept through them. Nero was floating sideways through the room with her legs crossed, while file cabinets lay overturned across the floor.

The police officer in charge of guarding the archives had long since slumped over the desk and fallen asleep. It was clearly working hours, too.

"Hmm... This seems to be the one."

Nero had obviously found something. She came to a sudden stop and quickly flipped through the file in her hands. It was a report about the scene of a car accident from half a year ago.

According to the report, the car had accidentally plunged off a cliff, and a family of four had been seriously injured and sent to the hospital. What was astonishing was that all four members of the family had miraculously survived in the hospital.

"Plunged off a cliff... Excessive blood loss..." Nero carefully read through the file from half a year ago. "A miraculous survival..."

She could not help thinking of the sensation she had felt when she broke open Joe's body and removed his soul. That made the matter seem even more astonishing to her.

She licked her lips, then took the file with her and left the police station's archives. Of course, with her personality, she absolutely would not tidy up the disorderly archives before leaving, much less wake the officer.

Nero felt that not putting all the police officers in the entire station to sleep already meant she had behaved herself. She could practically be called a super good girl, couldn't she?

Thus, when she passed the station's holding cells, Nero rewarded herself by casually opening one of the cell doors. Several men who had been arrested for causing trouble while drunk the previous night were locked inside.
