The cylindrical container began to open slowly. White mist spread from inside, quickly coating the floor in a layer of frost.

Xie Jiatu, bare-chested, walked out of the container without a change in expression. His gaze shifted between clouded and clear several times before finally regaining its brilliance.

The hawk-headed, human-bodied pharaoh did not choose to attack Xie Jiatu as he awakened from the container. It merely assumed a guarded stance, as though facing a formidable enemy.

Perhaps it was only an illusion, but Yamalana even sensed an uneasy emotion coming from the hawk-headed, human-bodied pharaoh.

"I never thought I would awaken in this manner."

The voice of Xie Jiatu's true body echoed through the final secret chamber. It had lost some of the indifference he possessed as the High Priest, yet it was much colder than the voice of Professor Xie Jiatu, his adoptive father in the outside world, as Yamalana remembered it.

He picked up the Scales of Good and Evil at his feet and silently examined them. The ferocity revealed by the hawk-headed, human-bodied pharaoh grew even stronger, but it still made no move.

"Actually, I have you to thank, Yamalana." Xie Jiatu raised his head and looked at Yamalana, a smile appearing on his face. "If not for you, I imagine I would never have awakened."

"Me?" Yamalana furrowed her brows in confusion.

He said calmly, "If I never awakened, then there would only be one Xie Jiatu in this world. You must have thought about that before, right? During the process of changing identities so many times, did you really never wonder which side divided by the Scales you belonged to?"

Yamalana remained silent, but her gaze kept searching for something as she looked around the final secret chamber at the containers holding various materials.
