To Reyaz's surprise, the underground space reached through the lift gate was far larger than he had imagined.
The lift gate finally stopped, and the passage ahead lit up all the way, as if its power had just been switched on.
Reyaz jumped out first and discovered that the passage was not very long. However, numerous tools had been placed along the walls on both sides. They came in all shapes and sizes, and he could not name any of them. He only felt that they were novel.
"Who exactly built a place like this?" Reyaz asked in amazement. "How large is the land here?"
"It seems to cover the entire continent," Boss Luo said casually.
It covered the entire continent... When he had been aboveground, Reyaz could not even see the end of the land. And yet, beneath this vast continent, there was actually another artificial space of equal area!
This place was far larger than the Underwater City!
"But... but we still haven't seen a single person?" Reyaz asked instinctively.
"Who knows?" Luo Qiu smiled. "Every place has its own history. Unless we took part in it, it's basically impossible for us to know what happened there in the past... Perhaps we can find fragments of the answer farther down the road. The fun of an adventure lies in uncovering things bit by bit."
Reyaz froze for a moment, then gave a bitter smile. "I'm really not in the mood for such a fine adventure right now... Besides, if this underground space is as vast as the surface... considering our destination, doesn't that mean it'll be even harder to find?"
