His eyes barely opened a crack. Through that narrow sliver of vision, Master Karen saw a familiar back.

He seemed to be lying on a metal platform. The burning pain from the monster's blood corroding and scorching his body was slightly eased by the platform's chill.

At last, the figure turned around. Through his blurred vision, Master Karen made out the other's appearance.

"Air... Air Sea?" Master Karen murmured. He had no idea whether he was dreaming or awake. He had fallen into darkness and then lost all awareness. "Your... your arm..."

"Compared to that, I think you're more concerned about your own condition."

The same tone, the same icy coldness... It was Air Sea, without a doubt. Master Karen instinctively told himself that this was indeed the Air Sea he knew.

A needle suddenly extended from Air Sea's finger and slowly pierced Master Karen's arm.

He felt a stab of pain... Yet beneath the burning pain throughout his body, that stab oddly felt comfortable.

"What did you... inject... into me?" But he was still startled... still afraid.

"An antidote serum. I just prepared it." Air Sea spoke indifferently. "You've been poisoned. The venom has basically destroyed your skin and has even begun seeping into your body."

Master Karen knew that his condition could not possibly get any worse. Even if Air Sea wanted him dead, there was no need for any tricks... He knew that this fellow was actually saving him, so he silently accepted everything.

The antibiotic was soon injected, and Air Sea withdrew his finger. Master Karen glanced at it. He had never known that Air Sea was not actually human.

He could even see the arm Air Sea had lost... At the wound, there were some neat tissues, but they were definitely not bones or blood
