The night passed quickly. When the sky had just begun to brighten, a black-robed Nun of the Black Order pushed open the door to the hotel suite.

The person staying here was the new leader of the Black Order, Lamias, who had forcefully and swiftly consolidated the Order's remaining strength after it had suffered a catastrophe and nearly disbanded.

"Lady Lamias, it's about time. Shall we set out?"

Lamias was sitting cross-legged on the bed, as if in deep meditation. She did not react at all to the Nun's arrival.

The black-robed Nun had no choice but to brace herself and walk a little closer.

But Lamias suddenly opened her eyes. When the black-robed Nun met her gaze, she seemed to be startled and abruptly retreated two steps.

In her perception, the gaze of this new leader seemed to shoot out a terrifying bolt of lightning.

The black-robed Nun subconsciously exclaimed, "Lady Lamias, have you broken through the seal of the Forbidden City?!"

"Me?" Lamias chuckled lightly, then said calmly, "I have merely lived long enough, and pretended to be mysterious for long enough. If you were worshipped every day by a group of vicious people, you could do the same after enough time."

The black-robed Nun assumed that the new leader was referring to the people of the Black Order and thought, But you've only been in office for a short while, haven't you?
