What would you most want to do if you returned to your homeland?

That was the question Griffith asked after Mr. Assath had also leaped into the sinkhole, perhaps because the silence had grown too oppressive.

It was a difficult question for Mr. Assath to answer. After returning to the City of Freedom, what would he most want to do?

Go fishing by the sea at Freedom City Academy, while taking a look at the youthful, beautiful bodies of those invincible Saint Maiden candidates?

Or perhaps spend some time fooling around in the streets?

Or maybe reopen the Rose Mansion?

Go straight to Calvin's house, hang the old bastard up, and beat him viciously before doing anything else?

Mr. Assath suddenly felt that there were far too many things he wanted to do in Freedom. He didn't even know what he would do first.

"Can't think of anything?" Griffith's voice sounded in the gloom.

"I've been away for too long." Mr. Assath shook his head, whether or not Griffith could see the gesture.

"Fifteen years is a short time for a vampire."

"The life I had before that was only a little over a decade longer than fifteen years." Mr. Assath said expressionlessly, "I've spent half my life as a vampire."

Half his life. Put that way, it was indeed a very long time. Mr. Assath felt that his answer was quite good. It would probably earn bonus points in an essay.

"What about you? What do you want to do?" He looked at Griffith. "Do you have a dream, Griffith?"

"I want to establish a country."

"A country?" Mr. Assath nodded. "You want to become king. That's a fine dream. Is that why you became a vampire?"

"What's wrong with that?" Griffith said calmly.

Mr. Assath shook his head.
