Necromancers were mages too. Yet as a member of the mage class, Adolf felt no affinity whatsoever for someone with the ID Little Mage... if anything, he was worried.
Being in the same class meant that certain treasures useful to him would be just as useful to the other player—same-class PvP and killing players in the wilderness for equipment drops were all too common on the Emerald Continent.
Besides, he had just used up a resurrection...
"Brother, are you here in Kunlun for a faction quest too?" Adolf asked tentatively.
Although this guy had appeared immediately after his resurrection, with suspiciously precise timing... Adolf still clung to a shred of hope. What if the fellow really was just passing by?
Most importantly, the faction indicator showed that Little Mage belonged to the same faction as him—Faction: Pure Land!
"What is your faction quest, sir?" Little Mage asked.
"...Ah, nothing special." Adolf kept his expression neutral. "My luck wasn't great today. Nothing purple or better came up, so I just picked a green assassination quest. I only needed one more kill, but then I ran into the Kunlun cops. Talk about rotten luck!"
"Are you on your own?" Little Mage asked curiously.
Adolf's heart skipped a beat. Then he replied cautiously, "I have a few companions. We arranged to meet at a certain time, not far from here... Brother, why don't you come along and meet them? We're all in the same faction, after all. There might be opportunities to work together later."
As fellow players, unless someone had stolen someone else's wife, they should avoid conflict whenever possible... Who knew whether a third party would end up reaping the rewards after they fought to the bitter end?
