"...What's going on?"
The black wall before him constantly radiated an unsettling aura. The instant his fingertips brushed it, he seemed to hear countless cries of despair.
Officer Lin jerked his hand back. Only then did he see clearly that the black wall had been cast from countless corpses... They had been compressed over and over, without a single gap between them, like blackened fossils.
Suddenly, a loud noise rang out.
Officer Lin instinctively frowned. Six Ears had just punched the black wall... Probably just testing it.
But black smoke was now rising from Six Ears's fist. He shook his hand, and the burns on his palm healed instantly.
The fight that had been about to erupt between them had been interrupted by the appearance of the black-walled maze... They had even been trapped in the same section.

When the black wall appeared, that information had naturally surfaced in Officer Lin's mind... It was probably one of the maze's properties, intended to drive those in despair into deeper despair.
"Looks like our fight will have to wait." Six Ears looked up toward the top of the black wall and said thoughtfully, "Find the exit first?"
"Exactly what I was thinking." Officer Lin nodded, inwardly breathing a sigh of relief.
"I can't reach my people," Six Ears added. "Try yours."
Officer Lin shook his head. "I've lost contact too. It must be because of this maze."
"Let's go, then." Six Ears preferred action. "If it's a maze, there has to be an exit... or a finish line."
Officer Lin hesitated briefly, but ultimately chose to travel with Six Ears... If they split up and Six Ears ran into his other companions, things could take an ugly turn.
The Void Demon Realm had enveloped all
