Far away... in a distant river of stars, there was a beautiful planet.
Inside a colossal, highly futuristic palace sat three figures of varying sizes... the largest of them stood nearly ten meters tall.
The other two looked like ordinary adult humans.
They were busy—the documents piled before them were as high as small mountains.
"...I can't take it anymore. I don't want to do this. This is more troublesome than launching an imperial war of invasion!" The ten-meter-tall giant slapped a notebook over his face and slumped down—but it only covered a tiny patch over the tip of his nose.
"We'll be more or less done once we finish reviewing this batch, Britai. This came from the Highest Directive. You don't want to be punished with cleaning toilets, do you?"
He was Veldi, a man in his thirties with an unkempt beard, narrowed eyes, a white lab coat, and a faint, ambiguous smile on his face.
"I'm the head of the Action Department. Why am I doing something this boring?" Britai rested his chin on the table, looking utterly dejected. "I just don't get it. Why did an order from the Highest Directive suddenly come down... isn't this just pointless busywork?"
"Britai, could you stop making noise? Can't you see I'm reviewing the last batch of accounts?" The last seated figure, a woman, shot the giant Britai a cold glare. "Over all these years, whenever your Action Department went out on missions, how chaotic were your accounts? Don't tell me you have no idea."
"What do you mean, unclear? Don't spout nonsense! Every single expense was recorded clearly!" Britai slapped both hands on the table. "Dorothea, you'd better produce some evidence! Otherwise, when Lord Hikari returns, watch me accuse you of slander!"
"Heh. It had better be that way."
