After examining them for a while, the four True Lords of the [Primordial Demon Cult] grew increasingly grim.

The signs of suppression by a higher-ranking dragon were far too obvious. These Nine Black Horned Dragons were already exceptional creatures within the Ruins of Return. Even ordinary members of the Elder Dragon Race could not have frightened them to this extent.
There was only one possibility: they had encountered members of the Elder Dragon Race's core bloodlines, quite possibly even its royalty.
Since other cult disciples aboard the Tower Ship had been present besides Gu Changkong, he did not conceal how the encounter had unfolded. He only deliberately omitted the fact that he had come off worse in their exchange.
It was simply too humiliating. He had approached her of his own accord, intending to subjugate her, only to be sent flying by a single sword strike that had even torn open his innate Dao-bone sacred body... For Gu Changkong, who had only just become the [Primordial Demon Cult]'s Demon Prince, this would have been a devastating blow to his reputation.
Thus, he could only swallow the humiliation in silence and claim that his opponent possessed considerable strength, likely no less than his own.
