Ye Yan was an Interpol agent investigating a criminal organization connected to organ trafficking, drug dealing, and possibly Tianying Entertainment. During this period, he warned Ren Ziling not to involve herself further, fearing that the organization would endanger her and those close to her. 99

He was subsequently dismissed from Interpol, placed on an international wanted list, and disappeared without signs of a struggle at his residence. Ye Yan had been framed for a crime he did not commit and returned to China to clear his name and find the actual culprit.
