Living With Mikoto

"My lord, we're just going to let those two go? Won't that make us look weak!"

"Kirito, I'm thinking of our clan's best interests. We're already notorious. If we do anything to them here, what little face our clan has left will be completely gone."

"In the future, forget about gaining leadership, no one will even listen to a word we say. If all of this is just because of that brat, it'll be too much of a loss."

Uchiha Seiji held a high position now. His actions couldn't be based on right or wrong, but rather on their impact on the clan's future development.

"But that guy is too arrogant, and so is Uchiha Mikoto. To be led away like that... if this continues, the clan will descend into chaos!" Uchiha Kirito gritted his teeth fiercely.

"We can't do anything to them openly, but can't we take their lives in private? But it has to be quick, and no one can find out. We need to find a scapegoat first. Kirito, I trust you. Can you handle this?"

Uchiha Seiji suddenly gave Uchiha Kirito an order.

"Of course! They're just two kids." Uchiha Kirito sneered. He was an Elite Jonin; dealing with two children was a piece of cake.

"The key isn't taking their lives, it's not getting caught. We need to shift all blame, and you must be thorough," Uchiha Seiji reiterated.

"Alright, you can count on me!" Uchiha Kirito nodded.

"Good!" Uchiha Seiji smiled with satisfaction.

Uchiha Kirito was quite powerful within the clan, ranking just below Uchiha Seiji. Therefore, Uchiha Seiji felt quite at ease.

"Don't act yet. Wait a couple more days, or we might expose ourselves," Uchiha Seiji suggested after some thought.

Uchiha Kirito strongly agreed with his idea.

Hyuga Matsuba was unaware that the Uchiha Clan was secretly preparing a major move.

Even if Hyuga Matsuba had known in advance, he wouldn't have cared. He was eager for it to happen quickly so he could gain more combat experience. Plus, it was a free opportunity, which made him happy just thinking about it.

"My place is a bit small, so you'll have to make do!" Hyuga Matsuba began showing Mikoto around his home.

Uchiha Mikoto smiled slightly, "I quite like your home. It may be small, but it's very cozy."

Objectively speaking, the house wasn't that small. It had two floors, a private bathroom, a large living room, and all the necessary amenities.

Hyuga Matsuba chose to live on the first floor. When his father was still alive, Hyuga Matsuba had always slept in the second-floor bedroom. After his father passed away, he moved to the first floor.

As soon as they went upstairs, dust billowed towards them, even with cobwebs present. This made Hyuga Matsuba a little embarrassed.

"I haven't cleaned in a while, so it's a bit messy. Wait a moment, I'll tidy it up for you."

With both hands spread, he initiated the ninjutsu and summoned shadow clones. The series of actions flowed like water.

Countless shadow clones appeared around Hyuga Matsuba. Following his command, they immediately began cleaning the room.

Mikoto was about to offer to help when she saw this and froze, her jaw nearly dropping in surprise.

"Looks like I made a few too many," Hyuga Matsuba clicked his tongue and recalled some of the clones.

"Don't just stand there, let's go sit downstairs."

Hyuga Matsuba nudged the stunned Mikoto and returned to the first floor. After Mikoto sat down, Hyuga Matsuba went to get two cans of soda and handed one to Mikoto.

"Thank you," Mikoto smiled and quickly expressed her gratitude.

"Don't be so formal. You'll be living with me from now on. We're family," Hyuga Matsuba teased.

Mikoto shyly lowered her head. Hyuga Matsuba was right, but his words seemed to carry a slightly different meaning.

"I'll go cook something!" Now familiar with the environment, Mikoto turned and headed for the kitchen to find something to do.

"Wonderful! I've been craving Mikoto's lunch. Now I finally have a chance to taste it."

Hyuga Matsuba praised Mikoto's bento, and there was no exaggeration in his words. At school, Mikoto's lunches were always tempting, and Hyuga Matsuba had wanted to try them for a long time.

Mikoto's lips curved upwards as she turned to the kitchen. To avoid not being able to reach things, she specifically found a small box to stand on.

A short while later, dinner was ready. Mikoto knew Hyuga Matsuba had a huge appetite, so she pulled out all the stops and prepared a large feast.

Once the food was ready, its aroma filled the entire room, and Hyuga Matsuba couldn't stop swallowing.

"What are you doing!" Mikoto, seeing Hyuga Matsuba drooling, said with a smile, "Wash your hands and let's eat!"

Hyuga Matsuba scratched his head and then went to the restroom to wash his hands.

After he was done, Hyuga Matsuba quickly returned, sat down, and began to eat ravenously.

Watching Hyuga Matsuba devour the food, Mikoto felt very satisfied. Seeing him enjoy the meal so much, he must have really liked the spread.

Hyuga Matsuba ate most of this lavish dinner. When dinner ended, he was so full he lay down on the floor.

"I'm stuffed! Mikoto's cooking is absolutely delicious, far better than mine. Without a doubt, you'll be a wonderful wife and mother!" Hyuga Matsuba commented objectively.

Mikoto also felt a little embarrassed. Hyuga Matsuba's words made her both shy and a little happy.

"The second floor is tidied up now. Mikoto, you should go unpack your luggage!" Hyuga Matsuba recalled his shadow clones.

"Okay!" Mikoto smiled and tilted her head, looking at Hyuga Matsuba.

"Thank you so much! If it weren't for you, Matsuba-kun, I might be sleeping on the streets right now. I'm so glad you're kind enough to take me in!" Mikoto's large eyes were fixed on Hyuga Matsuba.

"She's so beautiful!" Hyuga Matsuba was momentarily stunned.

Hyuga Matsuba almost got lost in Mikoto's big eyes. He said gently, "But you were driven out by Uchiha Fugaku because of me. I wronged you first, and I don't know how to make it up to you!"

"No matter what, we're living together now. From here on out, we need to support each other. Since we're under the same roof, don't be a stranger. We're family!"

"So that's how it is..." Mikoto was overjoyed and quickly ran upstairs.

Hyuga Matsuba pursed his lips. "Was the young lady embarrassed just now?"

Turning on the TV, Hyuga Matsuba began watching the television programs of this world. Objectively speaking, there were too many things in this Naruto world that left one speechless, making it hard to know what to say.
