Chapter 32: Demonic Illusion: Terror Rinne, Mangekyo
"Grant me death!"
Uchiha Kirito gave up struggling, knowing he couldn't defeat Hyuga Matsuba. He just wanted to die.
"Giving up so easily? I originally wanted to spar with you, but it's a shame you're so weak. I overestimated you."
"If you die this easily, wouldn't that be a waste?"
Hyuga Matsuba's face seemed to be covered by a layer of ice-cold gauze, and intense killing intent flowed in his eyes.
"Isn't your clan best at Illusion Techniques and Fire Style? Then I'll give you a chance to experience a technique I created myself. Demonic Illusion: Terror Rinne!"
In an instant, Uchiha Kirito teleported to a parallel dimension. His wounds were all healed, but his combat power was nearly depleted.
Uchiha Kirito's heart tightened. He understood that this was all his hallucination, but he couldn't sense his Chakra at all, making it impossible to use Ninjutsu to escape this dimension.
"Could this be a technique extended from Dojutsu?" Uchiha Kirito felt a wave of doubt. Someone was silently approaching him from behind.
A chill ran down Uchiha Kirito's spine. He turned around as quickly as possible. His vision was hollow, an indescribable shape, a head suspended in mid-air, staring at him eerily.
"Hehehehe..."
"What the hell are you?!"
Despite having witnessed many bloody scenes, Uchiha Kirito was startled. This sight was truly terrifying.
"This is just the beginning, and you're already this scared. Terror Rinne begins now," a sinister voice emanated from the head suspended in mid-air.
The surrounding scenery continued to change. Hyuga Matsuba recreated all the terrifying scenes he had seen before his transmigration, each appearing ten times before transitioning to the next segment.
However, the final scene of each segment was Uchiha Kirito's gruesome death, with a different method of death in each instance.
Uchiha Kirito felt like he was living through years in this Ninjutsu, enduring immense torment, yet in reality, only a few seconds had passed outside.
Finally, he activated his Sharingan, which made Hyuga Matsuba grow excited.
That's it! To increase his combat experience, Hyuga Matsuba wanted to practice using Uchiha Kirito's Sharingan.
However, a mere three-Tomoe Sharingan was far from enough. Hyuga Matsuba hoped that such a scenario could force out Uchiha Kirito's Mangekyo, but it all depended on luck.
Uchiha Kirito, at such a young age, had reached such a high level, indicating his innate talent was not bad.
But whether he could ultimately awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan was entirely up to fate.
To achieve this goal, Hyuga Matsuba racked his brains and summoned numerous Shadow Clones to help him create the conditions. Combined with Hyuga Matsuba's previous experience, he developed this technique.
This technique could completely compensate for Hyuga Matsuba's shortcomings. Its power was immeasurable, and its level was undoubtedly very high, possibly even surpassing advanced Ninjutsu.
It could forcibly immerse the opponent in a psychological illusion, constantly triggering terrifying scene changes. The only way to break free was to forcibly shatter the illusion.
Otherwise, these transformations would not stop, and the opponent would be trapped in the illusion. This technique was not a Dojutsu but a different form of Illusion Technique, yet Hyuga Matsuba could also activate it with the Tenseigan.
According to Hyuga Matsuba's speculation, this technique might have additional effects when used on females. It was certainly inferior to the Infinite Tsukuyomi and Kotoamatsukami.
Uchiha Kirito's power continued to accumulate, his three-Tomoe Sharingan constantly changing, and finally, it connected.
The pattern also changed, resulting in the shape of a Fuma Shuriken, which was not entirely the same as a Mangekyo pattern.
Even though he had summoned the Mangekyo Sharingan, Uchiha Kirito's level had not exceeded the limit.
Staring at the Mangekyo Sharingan, Hyuga Matsuba curled his lips and ruthlessly gouged out Uchiha Kirito's eyeballs, casually tucking them into his pocket.
After completing all the actions, a fierce fire erupted around Uchiha Kirito, and he instantly turned to ash. He hadn't escaped the illusion even in the moment before his death.
This was Hyuga Matsuba's first kill, but he didn't feel nervous. He felt as if he were hunting in a training ground; there was no difference.
From the moment he transmigrated, Hyuga Matsuba had fully understood and prepared himself for everything.
Therefore, he could calmly and easily gouge out Uchiha Kirito's eyeballs and burn him to death.
Although this series of actions sounded tedious, it actually only took twenty minutes.
"I should leave. This has caused quite a stir, and the people of Konoha will surely find out. I have to leave now."
"But even if I leave, I need to clean up the crime scene. Tempest Kick: Gale Slash!"
Enhanced by the Glint-Glint Fruit, Hyuga Matsuba unleashed numerous dense air blades, leaving the surrounding plants and trees heavily damaged.
Then, using the Glint-Glint Fruit, Hyuga Matsuba turned into a beam of light and returned to Mikoto.
"It's cleaned up. Let's go!"
"Okay!" Mikoto smiled but didn't ask about the details. No matter what methods Hyuga Matsuba had used, Mikoto wouldn't object; that was just her nature.
Hyuga Matsuba extended the hand that hadn't touched blood and held Mikoto's hand. Then, he activated Instant Movement, and the two escaped the forest, reappearing far away.
Standing on the bank of a small river, Hyuga Matsuba began to clean the dirt off himself. Some bloodstains had splashed onto him earlier when he gouged out Uchiha Kirito's eyeballs.
After cleaning himself up, Hyuga Matsuba sensed his Chakra again. He still had a little more than half of it remaining.
The Instant Movement had consumed a considerable amount of Chakra, and since there were two of them, the consumption was even greater, especially considering the long distance they traveled.
"Are you okay, Matsuba?" Mikoto worried if Hyuga Matsuba had been injured earlier.
"Yeah, don't worry so much," Hyuga Matsuba patted Mikoto's hair.
Mikoto didn't quite believe him. She stepped forward and thoroughly examined Hyuga Matsuba's entire body, even pinching him. It took a long time before she finally felt relieved.
Suddenly, Mikoto realized she had lost her composure and felt very embarrassed, lowering her head and not daring to look at anyone.
"I'll go prepare some food," Mikoto said, making an excuse to quickly slip away.
"Wait a moment, do you know Uchiha Kirito? Does he have any siblings?" Hyuga Matsuba asked softly.
Mikoto was a little curious and then asked in return, "Uchiha Kirito?"
She thought for a moment and then denied it, "It seems he's an only child and an orphan. But does that matter?"
"Not at all, I was just curious."
In reality, Hyuga Matsuba felt a bit disappointed. If Kirito had relatives, Matsuba might have had a chance to create an Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
Unfortunately, Uchiha Kirito's family was too desolate; he was the only child, and both his parents were deceased.
If only Hyuga Matsuba could have found Uchiha Kirito's parents. Hyuga Matsuba was not a kind person and had countless wicked schemes.
