Roller Coaster Incident (Part 1)

Kudo Shinichi looked displeased as he watched the new transfer student. He felt rather unhappy. How could this guy be so good-looking—far better-looking than himself? He could no longer confidently claim to be the most handsome man in the school. It was really irritating.

He had always thought he was quite handsome. After all, he was a famous detective; his intelligence and outstanding looks had been crucial in making Kudo Shinichi who he was today.

But in front of this new transfer student, his own looks suddenly seemed hardly worth mentioning.

Forget this useless stuff. So what if he's handsome? This world isn't all about looks. I'm smart, too. Kudo Shinichi did not want to be defeated so easily, so he comforted himself this way.

"Hey, what are you spacing out for? Why are you just standing there? Someone greeted you, and you didn't even respond. Why are you so arrogant? You have no manners at all." Sonoko looked at him unhappily, hoping he would give her an explanation.

"Sorry, sorry. I was thinking about something just now. My name is Kudo Shinichi, and I want to become a world-famous detective." Kudo Shinichi smiled at him.

"I'm Hyuga Matsuba. My dream is to have a huge harem—no, no, I want to become the Pirate King."

"Kudo Shinichi, there's something I forgot to tell you. Those two will be going to Tropical Land with us tomorrow." Ran Mouri told Kudo Shinichi about it.

"What? How come I didn't know? Where are we going? What am I going for?" Kudo Shinichi looked at them in confusion.

Ran's expression darkened. She was furious. She knew this guy would not remember something important to her. She clenched her fist tightly, ready to rush over and knock him to the ground.

"How could you not
