Hinata overwhelmed Nawaki, Kakuzu, Uchiha Itachi, and Kisame Hoshigaki with her Tenseigan-powered techniques. After defeating them, she left Nawaki shaken and clinging to Hyuga Matsuba for safety.

As Sunagakure’s attack on Konoha continued, Naruto fought Gaara while Jiraiya tried and failed to persuade Rasa to surrender. Jiraiya defeated Rasa with the help of the two sages, leaving Sunagakure’s invasion without its Kazekage.
