Six in the morning.
Song He carried a bag of breakfast and hurried to the entrance of Sea Monster Pavilion, arriving just as Xiang Xiaotong reached the entrance with her computer bag.
"Good morning, Dean Xiang." Song He greeted her. "I finished writing the report last night and submitted it. I withdrew my previous matchmaking application."
Xiang Xiaotong said nothing. Her face flushed slightly as she turned and entered the pavilion.
The two of them took the elevator. They watched the light on the elevator buttons jump one by one, finally stopping at Underground Level Ten.
The elevator doors opened.
The Sea Monster's giant eye hovered before the glass wall, silently watching them.
Song He froze for a moment, then turned and saw a message displayed on the computer screen.
There are too few papers. I finished reading them all.
Xiang Xiaotong was startled. "Didn't you leave it half a month's worth of doctoral assignments? There's no way it could have learned everything overnight. Did the program malfunction?"
"That's strange. The program has always been stable." Song He was puzzled too and hurried over to the computer.
He pulled up the paper-reading records and was stunned.
It really had read them all?!
"No... That shouldn't be possible, right?" Song He was baffled. "Was it really that fast?"
The Sea Monster silently stared at him through the glass wall. Its gaze seemed faintly resentful and disdainful, as if it thought its teacher had prepared too little homework and had left it with nothing to do but wait after finishing.
Although Song He was bewildered, he did not stop moving. He quickly typed out some advanced problems.
The Sea Monster glanced back at the new problems appearing on the large screen. Satisfied, it turned away, raised a tentacle, stared at the problems
