Teaching Building.
Teacher Xi Yanfan wrote notes on the blackboard and explained the nervous system of insects. The entire board was covered in enormous insect anatomy diagrams, looking like a heap of prehistoric bugs.
The lesson was simple, and the students below listened listlessly.
In the back row, Zhao Yiyi was taking notes with rapt attention when the phone on her desk suddenly lit up.
Song He: "Come to my office after class!"
Zhao Yiyi froze. "What is it?"
She waited for a long while, but there was no reply. She read the message carefully again, her eyes lingering on the exclamation mark at the end.
Song He almost never used exclamation marks when messaging her. Why did she inexplicably feel that the tone of this sentence was a little fierce?
Zhao Yiyi knitted her brows and remained uneasy and puzzled for a while, unable to figure out why Song He had suddenly become so stern.
When the bell rang, Xi Yanfan spoke a couple more sentences before stopping. "Class dismissed!"
A group of students instantly rose from their seats and headed outside with their books to make it to their next class.
Zhao Yiyi also put on her little backpack and stood up. At the door, she ran into Zhang Zhilei, Ning Mo, and Ding Yangze. The four of them did not sit together during class: Zhang Zhilei and Ning Mo wanted to enjoy a couple's seat, Ding Yangze listened attentively in the very front row, and Zhao Yiyi always shrank into the middle or back rows to listen in a relaxed manner.
"Did you get a message from Song He?" Ning Mo asked.
"He told me to go to his office after class." Zhao Yiyi asked, "Did you get one too? Did he say what it was about?"
