"First, I have to apologize to you. The Biological Computer itself is only a supplementary project. Only after the other projects' funding requirements have been met will the remaining money flow into the Biological Computer." General Wang said, "As for the Brain-like Computer, it's a supplementary project within the Biological Computer project, so there really isn't much money."
Song He nodded repeatedly. "You're too kind. I completely understand. After all, the Brain-like Computer really is an extremely nebulous thing. No matter how much money we pour into it, it might all amount to nothing more than a ripple."
"After doing the calculations, we determined that this is the most we can allocate to you." General Wang stopped and held up one finger.
"One... one million?" Song He guessed.
"Just kidding. For a scientist of Professor Song's caliber, what could one million do? We couldn't bring ourselves to offer such a small amount."
"Ten million?" Song He was stunned. "That's not a small amount either!"
General Wang shook his head with a smile.
Song He stared at him. "No way, right?"
"One hundred million. For the Brain-like Computer project, we can only give you this much for now," General Wang said. "Write up an application detailing the budget and expenses for its specific uses and submit it. Once we look it over and find no problems, we'll give you the money as soon as possible."
Song He was dumbfounded. Then he suddenly remembered something. "During the meeting this morning, didn't you say that the Biological Computer field had only one hundred million in total funding? You've allocated all of it to me. Are you giving up on the Molecular Computer field? That won't do!"
"The Molecular Computer field also has one hundred million." General Wang smiled mysteriously. "We came up with
