The laboratory erupted in an instant!
A chorus of ghostly howls and wolfish cheers rang out. Everyone had been pushing themselves too hard lately, and now they were finally releasing all their exhaustion!
After the howling died down, someone suddenly raised a question:
"Boss, just how powerful is this strongest anti-cancer drug you mentioned?"
The atmosphere instantly quieted. Everyone in the laboratory simply followed orders and worked; they had no idea how far the drug had progressed. They had relied entirely on the boss's word that it was a success.
Song He shrugged and said bluntly, "I don't know!"
Everyone stared blankly at him in astonishment. You don't know, yet you announced it was a success?
"Wait until it goes through testing. Once the drug-testing process is complete, we'll know how powerful it is!" Song He said confidently. "Everyone will have to work hard for a little longer. Expand the cultivation and produce several batches of drug samples!"
Song He waved his hand, and the people in white coats continued working. He hurried out of the laboratory, ducked into the restroom, pulled out his phone, and called the principal.
Outside the Principal's Office.
The corridor was deserted. An old man and a young man stood leaning against the window as they waited. They were none other than Rutherford and Yu Caiyi from the Bioengineering Institute!
Their expressions were rather strange. They looked like lovers visiting their future in-laws, both excited and anxious!
Yu Caiyi clutched a yellow document envelope tightly in his hand. Inside was the application for his next major project—in plain terms, he had come to ask for money.
Under normal circumstances, research-funding applications did not require the principal's signature, but this time, the amount needed was simply too large!
"Dean Rutherford, I'm a little nervous." Yu
