"Overthinking won't help with the situation we're in." Field suddenly spoke up. "Let's stop wasting time."

Pope looked at him in surprise. "How can we not think this through when our lives are at stake?"

"Thought has to be based on having enough known information, but we don't have any information right now." Field said, "A decision based on incorrect information is wrong no matter how carefully it's considered!"

"Are you saying we should just gamble?" Pope retorted.

"Leave it to God." Field pulled a coin from his pocket, his expression despairing.

"Wait!" Pope thought for a moment, then took out his phone, found the number in his call history, and called back!

Field immediately understood. He temporarily clenched the coin in his palm and nervously listened as Pope made the call.

Pope clutched his phone and waited for a long time, but no one answered. His expression turned ugly.

"It's daytime for us, but nighttime for them." Field said.

"They can't possibly be off work at a time like this?!" Pope said anxiously, dialing again.

The two of them instinctively raised their hands and drew crosses in front of themselves, silently praying that Song He's secretary would answer. The rest of their lives depended entirely on this call!

The phone suddenly connected. Pope quickly began speaking, rapidly explaining everything from beginning to end.

After he finished, he listened to the response on the phone. Then he hung up and let out a long sigh, drawing crosses up, down, left, and right.

"What did they say?" Field stared fixedly at him.

"They said they had to ask Song He for instructions and told me to wait for a call." Pope frowned.

The two waited anxiously, glancing at the clock again and again. Time seemed to have frozen in the office.
