Thick smoke billowed through the corridor, its acrid smell spreading everywhere. Dozens of dormitory doors flew open in panic as the students were roused, shouts ringing out hysterically.
"Fuck, what happened?!"
"An earthquake? My watch didn't give an alert!"
"What the hell exploded?"
"Run!!"
"Where are we supposed to run?!"
Qi Feng pushed open his door. One glance was enough for him to assess the situation, and he roared hoarsely, "Don't panic! Get the fire extinguishers! Go put out the fire in Yuan Tiangang's dormitory!"
Amid the chaos, there was finally a clear order. Without time to think, everyone instinctively rushed back into their dormitories to retrieve fire extinguishers.
Qi Feng sprinted toward the burning dormitory. A huge, wok-lid-sized hole had been blasted through the middle of the door, with thick smoke and waves of heat pouring out. He rammed the door once, but it did not budge. He thrust his hand through the blasted opening and fumbled for the lock.
He shoved the door open, pulled up the hem of his clothes to cover his nose and mouth, and charged inside.
Flames flowed across half the dormitory floor. The bedsheets had just caught fire, while two figures sat dazed in the corner, their heads covered in blood and their expressions blank, their minds muddled.
"Are you two dead?" Qi Feng bellowed. "Get out! Get out of here!"
Smoke poured into his nostrils. He turned his head and coughed violently, tears streaming down his face. Then he dashed over, seized both of them by the collars, and dragged them out with all his strength, one in each hand!
He had barely dragged them to the doorway when several streams of white powder came rushing straight at him. A group of students stood at the entrance, wildly spraying fire extinguishers inside.
