It was just past eight.
The defense professors from both sides entered one after another and took their seats in the front row.
All the professors were dressed in formal black suits, their faces stern and humorless. The atmosphere was grim!
In the First Defense Group, Xiang Xiaotong exchanged a few quiet words with the other professors before they all arranged their grading sheets and waited.
"Let's begin! First student!" Xiang Xiaotong announced.
A plump male student walked onto the stage, so nervous that his forehead was covered in sweat. He opened his PPT and began speaking haltingly.

"The emergence of organoid technology has pro... pro... provided us with powerful tools for studying the functions of various tissues..."
The plump student stumbled through his entire presentation, sweating like mad. He visibly grew several shades damper, like a huge sponge slowly being squeezed dry.
The students watching below were suffering too. The guy up front was doing terribly. If he happened to anger the dean, everyone afterward would suffer as well!
At last, the plump student finished his final section.
"P-please... please give me your criticism and guidance!"
The plump student held his breath, ready to face the storm.
"I have a question." Xiang Xiaotong spoke up. "Where did you get the image on your third slide?"
"It... it was cited."
"You need to mark it. Add a small citation symbol." Xiang Xiaotong flipped through the pages and nodded. "There aren't any major problems. It's pretty good."
The other professors beside him echoed his words, unexpectedly raising no further questions.
"Congratulations on graduating." Xiang Xiaotong smiled faintly. "Next!"
The plump student was dumbfounded. That's it? It's already over?
