A desolate main street, a vast empty parking lot, and a huge curved glass building standing conspicuously in the middle. It was so imposing that it almost seemed unreal, like an interstellar spaceship that had just landed.

A large sign above the entrance bore the logo of Brain-like Chip Company. It had no store name—and it didn't need one.
