Song He's expression remained calm, but his heart stirred slightly. It seemed his reputation had truly spread. The higher-ups already viewed him as someone capable of standing on his own, rather than merely a promising talent.
"What exactly is it?" Xiang Xiaotong couldn't help asking.
"Bacteria," the principal said. "There are three batches of bacterial samples in total, and they'll be transported here in stages. Secretary Liu, distribute the materials!"
Secretary Liu quickly handed out the materials, one copy per person, in exactly the same order as before. Yu Caiyi coldly watched Song He receive his copy first, and once again seethed with resentment.
Song He felt helpless.
"The first batch consists of bacterial samples accumulated on the outer shell of our Space Station. Last year, the Space Station acquired a type of small robot called the Space Window-Cleaning Bug. They're tiny and repeatedly clean space dust from the outside of the Space Station. A few days ago, the astronauts retrieved several malfunctioning bugs and discovered some bacteria attached to their bodies. The bacteria have already been collected, cultivated, and propagated. We should be able to obtain the samples shortly after the start of the school year."
Song He raised his eyebrows. He was the engineer behind the soul of the Space Window-Cleaning Bug, yet he hadn't expected to have such a deep connection with those mechanical little bugs. Even after a year, they were still bringing him follow-up surprises.
"The second batch consists of the mixed bacteria from the lunar bacterial cultivation pool!" the principal continued explaining.
"The Lunar Base built several cultivation pools last year. I don't know exactly what they were cultivating, since that's classified information. One of the pools was contaminated and grew a large amount of mixed bacteria. We don't yet know how it was
