Ch. 101Eerie

Han Yi discovered Liu Heng hiding in the Luo Clan’s spirit fields and killed him to avenge Luo Yunzhou. After finding a strange black token on Liu Heng, Han Yi was pulled through a fiery light door and vanished.

  • Han Yi reasoned that Liu Heng might be hiding in the spirit fields because of a secret connected to them, then infiltrated the array and searched for him.
  • After waiting several days, Han Yi saw Liu Heng emerge from a fiery light door, aged and crazed, clutching a black token.
  • Han Yi killed Liu Heng with the Shadow-Bearing Sword and took his storage bag and the token, which bore the characters “Sui” and “Zhu.”
  • The token drained most of Han Yi’s spiritual power, then opened another light door and pulled him inside before vanishing with him.
  • Luo Clan cultivators found Liu Heng’s corpse and reported it to the clan.

Ch. 102Yellow Turban Immortal

Han Yi entered a mysterious Immortal Mansion and learned he had to defeat a Yellow-Turban Immortal Warrior to inherit it. After his first attempt failed and he discovered the cost of failure, he rested and prepared to fight again, ending as he launched an attack.

  • Han Yi arrived at a cliffside residence after the black token transported him to the Immortal Mansion.
  • Han Yi learned that he had to defeat a Yellow-Turban Immortal Warrior within ten attempts, or lose forty years of his lifespan.
  • The Yellow-Turban Immortal Warrior attacked Han Yi when he entered its range, and his first assessment attempt failed.
  • Han Yi realized Liu Heng had likely failed the same assessment and returned with his lifespan depleted.
  • Han Yi rested for three days, resolved to fight with all his strength, and sent the Shadow-Bearing Sword toward the warrior.

Ch. 103Using Every Trick

Han Yi repeatedly challenged the Yellow-Turban Immortal Warrior, discovering that its defenses could withstand his strongest techniques and a Yin Thunder Talisman. He then tried the Golden Light Shuttle, which drove the warrior into the plaza but lost speed as the warrior counterattacked.

  • Han Yi’s Wind Demon Daggers, Spirit Void Fingers, and Shadow-Bearing Sword failed to defeat the Yellow-Turban Immortal Warrior, and he failed the second assessment with eight attempts remaining.
  • After recovering for seven days, Han Yi used his Yin Thunder Talisman, but the warrior blocked it with a phantom immortal mountain and defeated him again, leaving seven attempts.
  • Han Yi recovered, spent half a month making a basic refinement of the Golden Light Shuttle, and launched it at the warrior.
  • The Yellow-Turban Immortal Warrior leapt up and blocked the Golden Light Shuttle, which struck it down but lost much of its speed.
  • The warrior rose and unleashed a storm of punches against the descending Golden Light Shuttle.

Ch. 104Qi Refinement, Eighth Layer

After failing to defeat the Yellow-Turban Immortal Warrior, Han Yi spent more than three years cultivating to Qi Refining Layer 8 and refining the Golden Light Shuttle. He launched a new attack and appeared to break through the warrior’s defense.

  • Han Yi recalled his magic artifacts after his fourth failed attempt and decided to strengthen his cultivation and Golden Light Shuttle before trying again.
  • Han Yi cultivated for nearly three years and advanced to Qi Refining Layer 8.
  • Han Yi spent three months stabilizing his cultivation, then spent half a year refining the Golden Light Shuttle to his current limit.
  • Han Yi attacked the Yellow-Turban Immortal Warrior with the Golden Light Shuttle, accelerating it at the last moment until a metallic crack rang out.

Ch. 105Incompatible Birth Signs

Han Yi escaped the Celestial Court after passing the trial and returned to the outside world with a higher cultivation realm and a mysterious black token. After a brief encounter with Zhao Li and pursuing robber cultivators, he reached the Mystic Pill Sect, where he prepared to face the consequences of his long absence.

  • The Yellow-Turban Immortal Warrior regenerated, then vanished as the trial declared Han Yi the master of Immortal Estate Number 10,009.
  • Han Yi rejected the dangerous immortal road, chose to leave the Celestial Court, and returned to the Luo Clan's spirit fields with a black token.
  • Han Yi left Daofu City and encountered the fleeing Zhao Li, but escaped the robber cultivators after killing one attacker and breaking through his Body Lightening Technique to Reaching the Summit.
  • Han Yi changed routes, reached Tong City, boarded an immortal ship, and returned to the Mystic Pill Mountain Range ten days later.
  • Han Yi considered his missed Battle Arts Platform appearances and points requirements, and judged that his strength could earn him a place among the Earth Ranking's top thirty.

Ch. 106Changes Over Three Years

After escaping the array, Han Yi returned to the Mystic Pill Sect and learned how its policies and rankings had changed during his three-year absence. He ended the chapter back in his preserved courtyard, preparing to sort through storage pouches from his past battles.

  • Han Yi found that his courtyard was still his, hid the black Immortal Estate token in its Meditation Chamber, and went to see Bai Wanqing.
  • Bai Wanqing told Han Yi she had learned of Luo Yunzhou’s death three years earlier and had preserved Han Yi’s courtyard because his soul lamp remained lit; Han Yi said he had been trapped in an array.
  • Bai Wanqing urged Han Yi to pay attention to the changed Heaven, Earth, and Human Rankings, so he went to Battle Arts Peak to inspect them.
  • Han Yi saw that Battle Arts Peak had expanded, studied the rankings and their familiar names, and watched cultivators demonstrate their improved battle arts.
  • Han Yi returned to his courtyard and took out more than a dozen storage pouches, including six from Qi Refining Layer 9 cultivators and others from lower-level opponents.

Ch. 107Reaching the Pinnacle

Han Yi sorted through the storage bags he had collected, found a fortune in Spirit Stones and two God-Slaying Talismans, and decided to strengthen his skills and arsenal rather than sell his Magic Artifacts. After three years of focused cultivation, he broke through to Pinnacle Sword Control Technique.

  • Han Yi broke the restrictions on his collected storage bags and found nearly two thousand Medium-grade Spirit Stones, two God-Slaying Talismans, and a high-grade silver mirror.
  • Han Yi chose to keep his Magic Artifacts and focus on improving his combat methods, learning Breath Concealment Technique, and raising Spirit Void Finger or Sword Control Technique to Pinnacle.
  • Han Yi spent three years cultivating in seclusion, visiting Battle Arts Peak less often over time and completing the sect's battle arts assignment during the first year.
  • At age forty-one, Han Yi drove the Shadow-Bearing Sword through his Spirit-Locking Array and broke Sword Control Technique into the Pinnacle realm.

Ch. 108The Grotto-Heaven Opens Again

Han Yi learned that the Cave Heaven Trial was reopening and received a slot directly from Sect Master Yuan Shun, despite having no intention of competing for one. After returning home, he began cultivating the Fire Shield Technique and focusing more on advancing his realm.

  • Han Yi visited Battle Arts Peak, heard that one hundred Cave Heaven Trial slots would go to the Earth Ranking’s top hundred, and decided not to compete.
  • Han Yi sold unwanted magic artifacts and storage pouches to He Fangwei at Red Sun Market, bought spirit talismans, and confirmed that his Silver Makeup Mirror was a top-grade Silver Series magic artifact.
  • He Fangwei identified Han Yi’s shattered black beads as Child-Mother God-Extinguishing Pearls, an evil one-use artifact made using living sacrifices.
  • Yuan Shun offered Han Yi an extra Cave Heaven Trial slot reserved for a Supreme Elder’s recommendation and told him to come to Battle Arts Peak in one month.
  • Han Yi welcomed the slot, returned to his courtyard, and resumed cultivation, focusing on the Fire Shield Technique and his realm.

Ch. 109Ritual

Han Yi joined the Mystic Pill Sect’s second group traveling to Jade Capital Mountain for the Cave Heaven Trial, after learning how dangerous the previous trial had been. Aboard the Immortal Boat, Supreme Elder Fu Xuanxu told him he could fight foreign races in Chaozhen Tai Xu Tian but should not compete for tokens, leaving Han Yi wondering what the tokens were for.

  • Han Yi reviewed his unexpectedly rapid cultivation progress and headed to Battle Arts Peak for the second group’s departure.
  • Feng Jingyu told Han Yi that only forty of the previous trial’s hundred participants remained at Qi Refining Layer 9, while many others had died or failed to establish their foundations.
  • Supreme Elder Fu Xuanxu summoned the Earth Ranking’s top hundred and nine additional disciples aboard an Immortal Boat for the journey to Jade Capital Mountain.
  • After the Immortal Boat departed, Fu Xuanxu introduced himself and advised Han Yi to avoid competing for tokens inside Chaozhen Tai Xu Tian.
  • Feng Jingyu assumed Han Yi was related to Fu Xuanxu, but Han Yi denied having any connection to him.

Ch. 110Tai Xu Illusory Realm

Feng Jingyu explained the Cave Heaven Trial, the Tai Xu Illusory Realm, and the rewards and dangers of fighting for Grand Void Token fragments. At Jade Capital Lake, Han Yi received a Chaozhen Mark, entered the illusory realm, and saw it form an identical Tai Xu body as information about the trial entered his mind.

  • Feng Jingyu told Han Yi that Chaozhen Tai Xu Tian was a small world accessed through the Tai Xu Illusory Realm using immortal Tai Xu bodies.
  • Feng Jingyu explained that cultivators fought for Grand Void Token fragments, which could be exchanged for treasures that improved their spiritual roots or physique, and recounted the dispute between the Jade Capital Mountain Sacred Ground and the Void Sect.
  • Han Yi learned about the journey to Jade Capital Mountain and spent the month-long voyage cultivating aboard the Immortal Boat.
  • Fu Xuanxu briefed the disciples on the Cave Heaven Trial and emphasized that obtaining Grand Void Token fragments was their primary objective.
  • Su Changkong gave the disciples Chaozhen Marks at Jade Capital Lake, and Han Yi entered the lake to reach a mysterious space.
  • Han Yi watched his Chaozhen Mark transform into an identical Tai Xu body and received information explaining the source of immortality in the Cave Heaven world.

Ch. 111The Black Demon Clan

Han Yi entered the Cave Heaven through the Tai Xu Illusory Realm and discovered that his Tai Xu Body could use his proficiency panel. He arrived amid a battle between cultivators and the Black Demon Clan, then tested the strength and defenses of a demon as he headed toward a distant pillar of light that might mark the Grand Void Token.

  • Han Yi learned that the Chaozhen Mark created a Tai Xu Body that could be destroyed and regenerated while its mark remained valid, and he confirmed that his proficiency panel followed his divine soul.
  • Han Yi stepped through the light gate and was immediately attacked by a three-meter-tall Black Demon Clan member, which he knocked back with his Wind Wall Technique and Fire Shield Technique.
  • Han Yi saw cultivators fighting the Black Demon Clan, watched a sword immortal kill a four-meter demon, and noticed a pillar of light where cultivators were rushing to seek the Grand Void Token.
  • Han Yi judged that a three-meter Black Demon Clan member had the offensive power of a veteran ninth-level cultivator and attacked one with his Spirit Void Finger after realizing his magical artifacts were absent.

Ch. 112A Great Terror

Han Yi reached the stone palace where the Grand Void Token was condensing and witnessed the Black Demon Cangqi Tribe chief emerge after breaking through. The chief killed two legendary Qi Refining cultivators with overwhelming speed, then its roar shattered Han Yi’s body and consciousness.

  • Han Yi killed a wounded Black Demon with ten Spirit Void Fingers and hurried toward the other cultivators.
  • Han Yi arrived at the stone palace and saw four legendary Qi Refining cultivators surrounding the Grand Void Token.
  • The six-meter Black Demon Cangqi Tribe chief emerged, and its aura revealed that it had surpassed the Qi Refining realm.
  • The chief froze everyone with its speed, punched the sword immortal into a cloud of blood, and smashed the cultivator wielding the blood-colored longsword into the ground.
  • Han Yi tried to flee, but the chief’s roar caused his body to shatter and his consciousness to disperse.

Ch. 113White Jade Tower

After dying in the cave-heaven, Han Yi returned to the Grand Void illusion and considered the dangers and unanswered questions of entering with a Grand Void body. He descended again with two sword artifacts, arrived at a primitive tribe, and met Zuo Lie of White Jade Tower, who recognized that Han Yi was a newcomer.

  • Han Yi woke in the Grand Void illusion after his Grand Void body was killed and realized he would need to avoid being captured alive in the cave-heaven.
  • Han Yi wondered how cultivators obtained and kept magic artifacts in the cave-heaven, and why nobody had guided him during his first descent.
  • Han Yi took the Seven Star Sword and Cold Bamboo Sword from his storage pouch and entered the cave-heaven again, preparing himself with the Wind Wall Technique.
  • Han Yi appeared among a primitive tribe and met Zuo Lie, who asked to travel with him to the Azure Tribe of the Black Demon Clan.
  • Han Yi admitted he knew little about the cave-heaven, introduced himself as a member of the Mystic Pill Sect, and learned that Zuo Lie was a true disciple of White Jade Tower.

Ch. 114Shaman

Han Yi learned more about Chaozhen Tai Xu Tian while traveling with Zuo Lie toward the Cangqi Tribe, where the Grand Void Token was about to emerge. After Zuo Lie discovered Han Yi was only at Qi Refining Layer 8, he assumed Han Yi must be a Golden Core cultivator’s descendant.

  • Zuo Lie explained the demon clans and told Han Yi that cultivators were rushing to the Cangqi Tribe because the Void Light Pillar had descended there.
  • Zuo Lie took Han Yi to the Crimson Radiance Tribe’s shaman, who sold them a map to the Cangqi Tribe for twelve Medium-grade Spirit Stones.
  • Zuo Lie explained that Chaozhen Marks could be placed on storage pouches and magical artifacts, and gave Han Yi six Spirit Stones after learning he had none.
  • Zuo Lie warned Han Yi that they would compete separately once they reached the Azure Tribe, then asked about Han Yi’s cultivation.
  • Han Yi said he had only just entered Qi Refining Layer 8, and Zuo Lie concluded that he must be descended from a Golden Core Stage cultivator.

Ch. 115Sword Cliff (1/5)

Han Yi and Zuo Lie reached the Cangqi Tribe ahead of a coming siege, and Zuo Lie explained the threat posed by the many legendary Qi Refining cultivators gathering there. Han Yi learned why he had missed basic knowledge of the Grotto-Heaven World and identified several powerful figures he had seen in his previous descent, ending with his attention on the Seven Star Sword.

  • Han Yi and Zuo Lie traveled to the Cangqi Tribe, where Zuo Lie planned to wait for the siege to begin.
  • Zuo Lie explained that at least twelve legendary Qi Refining cultivators were expected to attack the Cangqi Tribe's chieftain and seize the Taixu Token fragments.
  • Han Yi learned that his first descent into the Black Demon Clan had kept him from receiving the usual explanation from a shaman.
  • Han Yi asked Zuo Lie about the legendary cultivators he had seen, and Zuo Lie identified Yang Yu of Sword Cliff and Xie Jingshan of the Spirit Battle Sect, among others.
  • Han Yi realized the halberd wielder was likely An Jing and the blood-red sword wielder was likely Fu You, then took out his Seven Star Sword.

Ch. 116Dragging Saber Girl (2/5)

Han Yi joined the rush toward the Grand Void Token as legendary cultivators and Black Demons converged on the Cangqi Tribe. After revealing speed that astonished Zuo Lie, he raced toward the saber-wielding Saintess of Jade Capital Mountain and the battle ahead.

  • Zuo Lie and Han Yi saw Qiu Ying and Yang Yu arrive with other powerful cultivators, including Xie Jingshan, Changsun Anjing, and Fu You.
  • Zuo Lie warned Han Yi that the fight for the Grand Void Token would be vicious, then the two went their separate ways as He Fengdi also headed toward the Cangqi Tribe.
  • Han Yi used his movement technique to race after the legendary Qi Refining cultivators as countless Black Demons poured out of the mountains and attacked the approaching humans.
  • A petite female cultivator wielding an enormous saber cut down a Black Demon, and Zuo Lie recognized her as Jade Capital Mountain's Saintess and veered away from her path.
  • Han Yi caught up to Zuo Lie and accelerated past him, moving nearly as fast as the foremost cultivators.

Ch. 117Slaying Demons (3/5)

Han Yi tested his strength against a four-meter-tall Black Demon while advancing toward the core circle. He killed it by exploiting its vulnerable eye, but the battle left him injured and cracked his Seven Star Sword.

  • Zuo Lie wondered whether Han Yi had concealed his cultivation, then kept his distance from Jade Capital Mountain's Holy Maiden.
  • Han Yi dodged a Black Demon's attack and struck its back with Spirit Void Finger, discovering that its defenses were exceptionally strong.
  • Han Yi pierced the Black Demon's chest with the Seven Star Sword, but it survived and punched through his Fire Shield and Wind Wall, sending him into a stone house.
  • Han Yi used the Seven Star Sword to distract the Black Demon while the Cold Bamboo Sword pierced its eye and exploded.
  • Han Yi finished the Black Demon by driving the Seven Star Sword through its damaged eye, then retrieved the sword and found a crack in its blade.

Ch. 118Madness (4/5)

Han Yi killed a four-meter Black Demon and reached the Cangqi Tribe ancestral temple, where sixteen legendary Qi Refining cultivators and more than a hundred Qi Refining Peak cultivators were attacking the six-meter chieftain. The chieftain unleashed a towering demonic phantom that killed many cultivators as the battle reached its climax.

  • Han Yi killed a four-meter Black Demon with his remaining Seven Star Sword and hurried deeper into the Cangqi Tribe.
  • He Fengdi witnessed Han Yi's feat, realized how formidable he was, and continued toward the depths on his own.
  • Han Yi arrived at the Cangqi Tribe ancestral temple and saw sixteen legendary cultivators, including An Xin, besieging the six-meter chieftain.
  • Xie Jingshan called for the cultivators to attack as the chieftain fought back and more than a hundred Qi Refining Peak cultivators charged in.
  • The chieftain summoned a ten-meter phantom that crushed two legendary cultivators and cut down many others before the attackers' combined strikes engulfed him in explosions.

Ch. 119Seizing the Token (55)

Han Yi survived the Black Demon’s explosion and seized a Grand Void Token fragment, then killed a cultivator who tried to take it. He fled toward the forest as the battle over the fragments turned into a savage fight among cultivators.

  • The Grand Void Token shattered into fragments when the Black Demon self-destructed, killing or injuring many cultivators and blasting Han Yi away.
  • Han Yi followed a red fragment, caught it, and recognized it as a piece of the Grand Void Token.
  • A sword-wielding cultivator demanded the fragment, but Han Yi killed him with a swift strike and took his mid-grade longsword.
  • Han Yi spotted two sword immortals from Sword Cliff flying toward the outer regions and hurried toward the forest to reach the Crimson Radiance Tribe.
  • Han Yi looked back from the forest’s edge and saw cultivators slaughtering one another over the fragments.

Ch. 120First Battle Against a Legend (1/5)

Han Yi obtained a Grand Void Token fragment but was killed by Xie Jingshan before he could escape, after swallowing the fragment and sacrificing the Seven Star Sword. Back in the Tai Xu Illusory Realm, he found that the Chaozhen Mark had turned red and prepared to enter the cave-heaven world again.

  • Han Yi fled into the forest with a Grand Void Token fragment as Fu You killed Zuo Lie and took another fragment.
  • Xie Jingshan attacked Han Yi with his battle banner, and Han Yi detonated the Seven Star Sword to briefly halt it.
  • Han Yi swallowed his Grand Void Token fragment, but Xie Jingshan's banner soon engulfed and killed him.
  • Fu You rushed deeper into the forest while Xie Jingshan pursued other fragments.
  • Han Yi awoke in the Tai Xu Illusory Realm and noticed the Chaozhen Mark had turned red, which he connected to the fragment.
  • Han Yi took up the Crimson Radiance Sword and entered the Tai Xu Illusory Realm's light gate.
