"Naruto and Fū are back?"
Sasuke had been secretly worried these past few days, afraid that idiot Naruto might have fallen into Akatsuki's hands. Now that Neji said Naruto had returned safely, delight immediately appeared on his face.
Neji beckoned Sasuke over. "I heard that guy passed some kind of trial and got a lot stronger. Come on, let's talk as we walk!"
Sasuke nodded, put away his ninja tools, and left the training ground with Neji.
As for Neji's mention that Naruto had undergone some sort of trial and greatly increased his strength, Sasuke did not pay much attention to it. In his view, no matter how much Naruto improved, he could never be mentioned in the same breath as him, someone who had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. It had nothing to do with whether Naruto worked hard; it was simply an overwhelming difference in level.
After Sasuke and Neji left, two figures appeared atop a large tree beside the training ground. They were Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui.
Watching Sasuke's receding back, Itachi said gravely, "It seems Sasuke's eyesight problem is more serious than we imagined."
"Yeah, he probably used up too much ocular power in his battle with Akatsuki." Shisui nodded, then asked, "By the way, has he mentioned this at home?"
Itachi shook his head. "Not once. He's still hiding it from us."
Shisui gave a bitter smile. "That kid is far too stubborn!"
Before long, Sasuke and Neji arrived at the renovated Ninja Academy.
