Snow was still drifting outside the window.
In the living room, Shin looked conflictedly at Ayari, who sat across from him.
Ayari looked somewhat uneasy as well. Ayano was also in the room, but the look in her eyes as she watched Ayari was extremely complicated.
"What kind of reaction is that?!" she finally could not hold back any longer and asked.
Shin truly felt helpless. This was completely beyond his expectations and outside his plans. How could he possibly have the time to look after a child right now? He felt that having this child would be nothing but a burden.
But he could not exactly have Ayari abort the child either.
He said, "What do you mean, what kind of reaction? Since you're pregnant, we'll get married, then have the baby."
Ayari was angered by his perfunctory attitude, silently resenting that she really should not have let him have her so easily back then!
She said angrily, "Since you don't want it, I'll go get rid of it."
Shin had a headache. "It's not that I don't want it."
He walked over and sat beside Ayari, reaching out to hug her, but she angrily twisted away. It took him several attempts before he finally managed to pull her into his arms.
"I was just too surprised. I wasn't mentally prepared for this."
Ayari immediately said in grievance, "You weren't prepared, but was I? I'm not even married yet!"
Shin said, "We'll get married. We'll get married right now, then have the baby."
He held Ayari and coaxed her for quite a while before finally making her smile through her tears.
Shin held her again and imagined their future together, saying he had already thought of a name for their daughter: Fortune. Having her would be his good fortune.
