The Anbu guards spotted the visitor from afar and immediately stepped forward to bow.
"Second Hokage, what brings you here?"
Tobirama studied the Anbu wearing an animal mask. "Your voice sounds familiar."
The Anbu bowed. "I once served as your guard, at the research institute."
Tobirama nodded lightly. "I have business upstairs."
The Anbu did not stop him and instead stepped aside. "Please."
Tobirama entered the tower directly and made his way to the top floor. This was the Sunlight Tower's control room, staffed by the former Barrier Team and responsible for Konoha's defenses.
Just as he was about to enter, someone came out ahead of him.
"Second Hokage."
"Kakashi."
"What brings the Second Hokage here?" Kakashi bowed his head, displaying great respect.
Tobirama said, "I am conducting an experiment and need to study this tower."
Kakashi asked, "Does the Fifth Hokage know about this?"
Tobirama replied, "This experiment was commissioned by the Fifth Hokage."
Upon hearing this, Kakashi stepped aside as well. "Please enter."
The so-called control room was also the Tenseigan's base. The entire room housed the lower half of the Tenseigan. Various instruments were arranged throughout the circular chamber, while square LCD screens covered the surrounding walls, displaying scenes from all across Konoha.
This was where the entire village was monitored, overseen by several ninjas.
Tobirama swept his gaze over the room and said, "Suspend operations for now."
The person in charge was startled and immediately approached Tobirama. "Second Hokage, the Fifth Hokage ordered martial law for today."
Kakashi spoke from the side. "Just follow orders. It is only a temporary suspension."
The man in charge looked at Tobirama, then at Kakashi, before going to shut down the surveillance system.
