Naruto squeezed through the crowd, his small frame letting him dart about among the adults with ease.
He waved Sasuke over from behind him.
The area around the Execution Platform was already packed with people. Discussions and clamor filled the air as the guard ninjas kept the onlookers several meters away from the platform.
Naruto and Sasuke made their way to the front of the crowd. An adult nearby could not help saying, "Whose kids are these? Why are they here?"
His words drew many glances from those around them, while Naruto pulled a face at him.
"Kids, this isn't somewhere you should be."
"Yeah, hurry home."
"Where are your parents?"
Annoyed by the voices around him, Naruto suddenly shouted, "My dad is the Hokage!"
That childish voice silenced the people nearby for a few seconds.
"Are they the Hokage's children?"
"Why are they here?"
"It wouldn't be good for them to see something they shouldn't."
Someone kindly crouched down and said to Naruto and Sasuke, "This isn't suitable for you. Hurry and leave."

The man tried to scare them. "That person on the platform is going to be beheaded. It's very scary."
Naruto did not care in the slightest. He did not want to argue with these people anymore, and Sasuke pulled him away. They darted beneath the crowd and reached the front of another section.
