Naruto stared wide-eyed at the unfamiliar ceiling before him.
"Naruto, you're sleeping in again. Be careful, or Mama Natsu will come in and scold you." A voice sounded beside him, making Naruto turn his head. A familiar figure was hurriedly getting dressed.
Naruto studied him closely for a long while before speaking. "Sasuke?"
"Hm?" The other boy looked over at him. He was slightly different from how Naruto remembered him, and most importantly, there was none of that cold aloofness between his brows.
The familiarity in his tone made him feel even more like a stranger.
Naruto was dazed for a moment before abruptly sitting up in bed.
"What time is it? Aren't we going to be late for school?!"
Sasuke laughed at that. "It's not even your turn to start school yet. What nonsense are you talking about?"
As he spoke, he quickly headed for the door.
"Don't say I didn't warn you to get up. If Mama Natsu comes in later, you'll be in for it."
Naruto was left sitting there alone, stunned for a long time, unable to come back to his senses.
Who was Mama Natsu... Where was this... Why was Sasuke being so friendly to me...
Naruto tugged at the corner of his mouth, making sure he was not dreaming.
But this luxurious bedroom before him, with beds for three people, was definitely not his room.
Before long, the door suddenly opened, and a woman with short brownish-green hair walked in.
"Naruto, what time is it already? Why aren't you up yet?!"
The woman spoke in a distinctly unfriendly tone the moment she entered, making Naruto instinctively shrink his neck and answer softly.
"I was just getting up."
Still unable to make sense of the situation, Naruto grabbed the clothes beside him and started putting
