A researcher hurried into Kabuto's office to report.
Laboratory Seventeen?
Kabuto's mind raced. He immediately recalled what was stored in Laboratory Seventeen, rose to his feet, and quickly left his office for the laboratory.
These sealed laboratories had walls made from special alloys, engraved with Sealing Jutsu Formulas.
What had been stored in Laboratory Seventeen was the white spherical cocoon the Emperor had brought back earlier.
By the time Kabuto arrived, the surrounding Sealing Jutsu Formulas had activated. Chakra chains shot in from all directions, tightly binding the cocoon.
What astonished Kabuto was that special black patterns had appeared across the surface of the white cocoon, resembling ribbons.
Kabuto studied it carefully for a long while before moving to a nearby instrument and flipping several switches. The Chakra chains instantly vanished. Freed from their restraints, the object did not immediately fall to the ground. Instead, it drifted slowly down from midair like a feather.
"Notify His Majesty." Kabuto pondered for a moment before speaking to the person beside him.
By the time Zhen arrived, Kabuto had already placed the cocoon inside a detection device and was carefully examining its condition.
"This mutation is very strange. It released a powerful Chakra fluctuation not long ago, but the Chakra inside it soon calmed down and began flowing steadily through its body."
Kabuto reported to Zhen. According to the readings, the amount of Chakra contained within it was astonishing—far greater even than the cores of the Tailed Beasts!
"Are there any signs of awakening?" Zhen asked.
Kabuto pondered. "No, not for now... Your Majesty, you sealed portions of the Nine Tailed Beasts into this body, but this body itself is an empty shell. How could it awaken?"
In Kabuto's
